BBT-001 | Chronic and Diabetic Ulcers

Targeting the biology behind chronic wounds

BBT-001 is a first-in-class cannabidiol-derived aminoquinone in preclinical development as a topical treatment for chronic and diabetic ulcers.

BBT-001 is designed to activate PP2A/B55α and modulate AMPK/SIRT1-related pathways involved in vascular protection, cellular senescence, and tissue repair. Research supporting this strategy has shown reduced endothelial senescence alongside improved wound closure, blood vessel formation, and tissue perfusion in preclinical models.

Our development program combines mechanistic validation, active ingredient manufacturing, and topical formulation development to advance BBT-001 towards clinical evaluation.

BBT-002 | Topical Pain Management

Botanical innovation. A new approach to pain

BBT-002 brings together natural extracts in a topical formulation designed to enhance the body’s own pain-control signals. Its distinctive mechanism, positive allosteric modulation of the cannabinoid CB1 receptor, amplifies the response to naturally occurring endocannabinoids.

Backed by preclinical evidence of CB1-dependent pain modulation, the botanical combination also acts on TRPV1 signalling and antioxidant pathways. We are developing BBT-002 to bring a new botanical option to the topical pain relief market, with a focus on muscle, joint and localized nerve pain.
